Ecological Descriptors

Adult: predator, terrestrial.

 

Diagnosis

Length 1.3-1.4 mm. Head and pronotum smooth; head with arms of vertexal sulcus converging toward apex, then angled for short distance laterally to base of weak antennal tubercles; interantennal bridge weakly defined. Pronotum with antebasal sulcus deep, sharply defined. Elytra with four basal foveae; short impression extending posteriorly from third and fourth foveae. Visible tergite 5 (VIII) with apical spine. Male eyes with about 40 facets; mesotibiae with small preapical spurs; metatrochanters with medially directed spine at posterobasal margins; visible sternite 3 (V) with brush of long setae on apical margin at middle third, impressions near lateral margins densely setose; 4 (VI) with medial setose tubercle near apex; 5 (VII) depressed at base in middle third, with two widely spaced setae on small tubercles.
