• Pecten (Chlamys) scabricostata Sowerby, G.B. 3rd 1915. Descriptions of new species of mollusca from various localities. Annals and Magazine of Natural History series 8 16: 164-170 [168, pl. 10, fig. 14].

  Type data:

   Holotype BMNH 1919.12.31.36 pr, "Swan River", Western Australia
  Comment: The type locality “Swan River” is probably incorrect as this species occurs further north from c. 23–12°S (see Dijkstra & Beu, 2018).

South of Point Cloates (23°06'S) to King Sound (16°50'S), WA, dead specimens to Gove Peninsula (136°47'E), NT, but no living specimens from NT.
