Prag : Ignaz Edlen von Born Vol. 4. [pl. 2, figs 34-35] [Neave, 1940, Nomenclator Zoologicus, 4: 321, has an entry for "Stomatia Lamarck, 1799", Mémoires de la Société d'Histoire Naturelle de Paris, (an VII): 77; Lamarck (1799) used Stomatia without an author, but Lamarck, 1801, Système des animaux sans vertèbres: 96, placed Stomatia phymotis in Stomatia, so it is clear that Lamarck did not intend to establish a different name. Stomata [Gray, 1821, London Medical Repository, 15: 232] and Stromatia [Griffith & Pidgeon, 1834, The animal kingdom arranged by... Cuvier, 12: 86] are incorrect subsequent spellings.
