Sphenura litoralis Milligan, A.W. 1902. Description of a new Bristle Bird (Sphenura). The Emu 1(2): 67-69 [Date published Jan 1902] [69] [the spelling littoralis first used by Mathews, Systema Avium Australasianarum 2(1930), is deemed identical: ICdZN Art. 58.7].
