Taxonomic Decision for Synonymy

Molecular phylogeny of Dermestidae (Coleoptera) reveals the polyphyletic nature of Trogoderma Latreille and the taxonomic placement of the Khapra Beetle Trogoderma granarium Everts. Introduction
Through phylogenetic analyses, Zhou et al. (2022) found the genus Trogoderma to be paraphyletic, and split into two re-defined genera. Species of Trogoderma that occur in the Southern Hemisphere (with the exception of T. variabile) were transferred to the genus Eurhopalus. The genera Anthrenocerus, Myrmeanthrenus, Neoanthrenus, and Reesa were also synonymised with Eurhopalus.
