Introduction
Psilota shannoni Goot, 1964: 220 is a replacement name assigned to Psilota nigra Shannon, 1927. It is an all-black species known from the holotype female (type locality: South Australia). It is a possible synonym of P. tristis, but the species complex requires further revisionary work (Young et al. 2020).
