[277] (Note #539: The type of A. semiochrea (Herrich-Schäffer) has not been traced but Herrich-Schäffer introduced the name Orgyia diemenii Herrich-Schäffer as a synonym. If it came from Tasmania (Van Diemen's Land) as implied then it is a senior synonym of Euproctis teucomelas Walker, 1855. Specimens with a yellow head and thorax are uncommon but all have the base of the forelegs and underside of the prothorax yellow)
