Holotype AM R116987 (previously AMF 16530), 9.8 km along Bruxner Highway, from the New England Highway at Tenterfield, NSW.

Introduction
Difficult to distinguish from S. nigriceps where the two species overlap and further work is required across the distributions of the two species to clarify their relationships, see Maryan et al. (2020) for details.
