Type species:
Brachartona catoxantha Hampson, 1893 by original designation.
Distribution
Extra Distribution Information
Known in Australia from only a single specimen collected at Taylor Range, Brisbane, QLD, by F.P. Dodd. This is a pest of palms in the Pacific Islands, Indonesia and New Guinea and the Australian record seems most likely to have come from an accidental introduction that has now died out, or from mislabelling of the only Australian specimen.

Extra Distribution Information
Known in Australia only from a single specimen collected at Taylor Range, Brisbane, QLD, by F.P. Dodd and not seen since. The species is a pest of palm trees in the Pacific Islands, Indonesia and New Guinea. The most likely explanation for the Australian record are either it represents an early accidental introduction that has since died out, or the known specimen has been mislabelled.
