Family KROHNITTIDAE Tokioka, 1965

Introduction

One row of long isosceles triangle shaped teeth, with the small side as the base, is present. Hooks are curved more abruptly than in Sagittidae, collarette is absent, one pair of lateral fins beginning on the posterior portion of the trunk. The shape of the caudal fin differs from that in the other families. This family contains one genus.
