Introduction
Stictoponera biroi was previously transferred to the genus Gnamptogenys, with Stictoponera considered a synonym of Gnamptogenys. However, subsequent phylogenomic analyses led Camacho et al. (2022) to resurrect Stictoponera, and restore S. biroi to its original generic designation.
