Family EMBLETONIIDAE Pruvot-Fol, 1954
Introduction
Small flattened slender nudibranchs 3 to 40mm in length in life. Head with smooth short rhinophores set rather far apart, and a rounded velum (replacing oral tentacles). Cerata usually squatly fusiform, the tip divided into two short branches, with the tip of each branch again divided into two short nodes. There appears to be no cnidosacs. The cerata stand singly along each side of the body. The foot is rounded in front. Only two or three, perhaps four, species belong to the family.
