Arboreal, closed forest, diurnal, frugivorous, granivore, gregarious, nomadic, resident, volant.
Extra Ecological Information
Seasonal breeder, sexually dimorphic, in rain- and vine-forests, feeds in the crowns of broadleaf trees on diverse fruits and their seeds, solitary or flocks in small groups, flies directly in cacatuine manner with glides punctuating wing beats, nests often communally on bed of wood dust in high tree hollows, incubation by female, and female assisted by male in rearing sooty-downed, dirty orange or blackish-billed chicks, wanders locally to seasonal food sources.
