Species Diporiphora margaretae Storr, 1974

Northwest Kimberley Two-lined Dragon

 

Introduction

Described as a subspecies of D. bilineata but then synonymised with D. magna by Storr et al. (1983) without comment. Molecular analysis by Smith et al. (2011) demonstrated the distinctiveness of the species relative to D. bilineata and D. magna, see Melville et al. (2019) for further details.

Northern Kimberley region from Sir Graham Moore Island south to Prince Regent River and east to Drysdale River National Park.

Australian Endemic.
