Introduction
The vast bulk of the Dictyopharidae is classified in this subfamiliy including all but one of the Australian species.
Diagnosis
Muir (1923) distinguished this subfamily from the subfamily Orgeriinae on the basis of the presence of a suture dividing the clavus from the corium, such a suture being absent from the Orgeriinae.
