Adult: volant.

Larva: aquatic.

Extra Ecological Information

Adult day-bitng and only rarely bites humans; larva found in ground pools, ponds, creeklines, creekbed pools, shaded rock pools and eucalypt forest streams, still backwaters of running mountain streams and marginal vegetation of large pools in gently flowing stream.
