Adult: volant.

Larva: aquatic, tree hole.

Extra Ecological Information

Larva found in a cavity in buttress root of rainforest tree, rot hole in trunk of a smaller tree, deep groove in large fallen tree, buttress of a tree stump and artificial containers with fresh water containing rotting leaves and debris.
