Comment: Fabricius in the original description of xiphia did not indicate the number of specimens described, he described xiphia and its replacement name nina from this specimen; Zimsen, E. 1964. Extra Ecological Information
Larval food plants not recorded from Australia, but on South West Osborne Island, WA, females laid eggs on small plants of Capparis sepiaria (Capparaceae), and outside Australia larvae feed on Capparis spp. and Crateva spp. (Capparaceae).
