• Stictoptera Reichenbach, H.G.L. 1862. Die Singvögel. (in 3 parts). Dresden Vol. 1. [dated as published in 1862-1863, but appearing in Pts VI-VIII of the Central Atlas of Reichenbach's Vollständigste Naturgeschichte des In- und Aus-landes, and thus before Pts IX and X in 1862] [iii, 31] [junior homonym of Stictoptera Guenée, 1852 (Lepidoptera); dated as published in 1862-1863, but appearing in Pts VI-VIII of the Central Atlas of Reichenbach's Vollständigste Naturgeschichte des In- und Aus-landes, and so before Pts IX and X in 1962].

  Type species:

   Fringilla bichenovii Vigors & Horsfield, 1827 by monotypy.
