Introduction
Anostracans are the fairy and brine shrimps. Rogers (2013) reviewed the families, genera and species and provided a background to the literature. Being the only extant order of Sarcostraca, the diagnosis of the subclass serves for the order (Rogers, 2013, 2024). For Australian species see Rogers & Timms (2014) and Timms (2015).
