Introduction
Specimens in the QM thought to represent the genus Pseudanisakis Layman & Borovkova, 1926 have been found in South Australia, but have not been identified to species level. Beumer et. al. (1983) and Barton (1994) both reported unidentified specimens of the genus Agamonema, and Johnston & Mawson (1942) reported specimens they placed into Phocascaris. Neither of these genera have been formally identified in Australia.
