Type data: lectotype (probable) BMNH *; Heron mentioned in the original description that he described several specimens.

Type locality: Damar Is. (as Damma Is.), Indonesia (Damma Is. and Darwin given in original description), see Waterhouse, G.A. 1933. Australian Hesperiidae. IV. Notes and descriptions of new forms. Proc. Linn. Soc. N.S.W. 58(5–6): 461–466 (restricted the type locality to Damar Is., Indonesia).
