Holotype AM P37341 ♀, Maatsuyker Island, off south coast of TAS.
Paratype(s) AM P37342 1♂, coast, 3 km north of Cockle Creek, TAS; AM P37343 2♀ 2♂ 1 juv., coast, 3 km north of Cockle Creek, TAS; BMNH 3 specimens; NMC 5 specimens.

Occurs on the south-western and southern coasts and off shore islands from Macquarie Harbour to Recherche Bay and on the Tasman Peninsula, but not yet recorded from the intervening coastline.
