Prudhoe, S. 1969. Cestodes from fish, birds and whales. British, Australian and New Zealand Antarctic Research Expedition 1924-1931 B 8: 171–193 reported this species from Larus dominicanus from Kerguelen, noting that it is widespread in gulls in both hemispheres; it has not yet been reported from Australia Antarctic Territories.
