Ecological Descriptors

Adult: volant.

 

Diagnosis

m-cu crossvein and base of vein M, lacking and hind tarsi slender. Legs entirely dark reddish brown to blackish; by body pile pale yellowish; wing 4.5 mm; eyes normal; displaced 5th spine on front tibia placed just slightly below row of 4. Rostrum of the female is well developed, distinctly longer than eye. In male hind tarsi slender; and spines of the front tibia arranged 4: 1., rostrum produced slightly beyond bases of antennae, but less than 0.5 the length of eye.
