Introduction

Pupoides is a widely distributed group within Australia occurring mostly in drier forests and shrubland. The genus is distinguished form other Australian pupillids by the combination of elongately conical shape and an aperture with a single parietal barrier. It includes both dextrally coiled and sinistrally coiled species.

Diagnosis

Shell very small, elongately conical, smooth, sinistral or dextral; aperture ovate with a single upper parietal denticle; outer lip strongly reflected; umbilicus a narrow chink. Colour waxy brown.
