Introduction

Formerly included with the two other Australian species of Pironella under the name Cerithideopsilla cingulata (Reid & Ozawa 2016).

 

Distribution

States

Queensland, Western Australia


Extra Distribution Information

There are no records of P. rugosa in NTM from the relatively well-studied areas of the Kimberley, Darwin Gulfs, Arnhem Land or the Gulf of Carpentaria, suggesting that the populations on the eastern and western coasts of Australia could be disjunct (Reid & Ozawa 2016).

Australian Endemic.
