Ecological Descriptors

Adult: volant.

Larva: aquatic, tree hole.

Extra Ecological Information

Type series bred from larvae taken in a rot hole in Baobab tree, Adansonia gregorii F.Muell. [Bombacaceae], where they were being preyed upon by the larvae of Aedes (Finlaya) purpureus (Theobald, 1910).
