Adult: volant.

Larva: aquatic.

Extra Ecological Information

Adult females taken from carbon dioxide, malaise, light and animal-baited traps; adult feeds on buffalo, cattle, humans and marsupials and seems to be a general mammal feeder; immature stages found in small, muddy, temporary pools.
