Adult: volant.

Larva: aquatic, tree hole.

Extra Ecological Information

Occurs in tropical coastal areas and mountain country inhabiting eucalypt forests, adult bites humans and horses; larva collected from living and dead bloodwood (Eucalyptus sp. [Myrtaceae]) tree holes.
