Diagnosis

Trunk slender, segmented. Lateral processes well separated, often with tubercles or spines; proboscis ovoid, long; often with tubular (hollow) spines and regular spines; chelifores long, two-segmented scapes, chelae atrophied; palps 9-segmented, long, slender; ovigers 9-segmented, with feathered spines, without strigilis or terminal claw; legs slender, usually with long spines, propodi slender, auxiliaries. Cement gland usually long conspicuous tube.
