Introduction
Subspecies was recorded from the Australian mainland for the first time: a female black morph of this subspecies, otherwise endemic to Sumbawa, Indonesia, was photographed near Darwin, NT, in late January 2010 during the height of the summer monsoon (Braby et al. 2010); the specimen was probably a vagrant that dispersed to north-western Australia facilitated by monsoonal trade winds.
