Collected in the basidiomes of Fomitopsis feei (= F. foedata), Fomitopsis sp. (with pink context), Phellinus minimus, Phellinus sp., Trichaptum sp., in the stromata of Hypoxylon cyclopicum and Kretzschmeria cetrarioides, and in berlesates from leaf litter, flood debris, bark and rotten wood
