Ecological Descriptors

Adult: predator, terrestrial.

 

Diagnosis

Length 2.1-2.4 mm. Body with setae suberect to decumbent. Head and pronotum subequal in width. Head with broad V-shaped impression connecting antebasal foveae; antennal tubercles prominent, eyes prominent; antennal clubs formed by large apical three antennomeres, antennomeres IX and X subequal in size, much larger than VIII. Pronotum with antebasal sulcus slightly and evenly curved; lateral longitudinal sulci distinct. Elytra with four basal foveae, with short vague impression extending posteriorly from third foveae. Abdomen with visible tergite 1 (IV) nearly twice as long as 2 (V), 3 (VI) three-fourths length of 2 (V). Prosternum with median carina. Males with eyes of about 65 facets, as long as tempora. Metasternum with broad, circular impression. Protrochanters with long spine; protibiae with small preapical spur; mesotrochanters with small blunt spine ventrally near apex; mesofemora swollen; mesotibiae broad through length, widening near apex to large blunt preapical spur on mesal margins. Females with eyes of about 45 facets; with thin spine on mesotrochanters.
