'Widely distributed through the eastern half of Australia, west of the Great Dividing Range …. Extending from Cape York Peninsula and Gulf regions of Queensland and the Northern Territory, through inland Queensland and New South Wales to far northern Victoria and eastern South Australia. The southern limit of distribution appears to follow the Murray River, though some records extend just past this.' see Horner (2007: 103)
