Ecological Descriptors

Adult: predator, terrestrial.

 

Diagnosis

Length 1.8-2.2 mm. Head and pronotum densely punctulate; body with dense subdecumbent setae, with scattered longer setae. Enlarged antennomeres VIII-X nearly quadrate, slightly transverse, VI slightly narrower and about two-thirds length of VII; gular setae short and simple. Pronotal disc convex; antebasal sulcus distinct for a short distance medial to lateral antebasal foveae, sulcus indistinct in medial third. Elytra each with two small basal foveae; discal stria short. Tibiae of all legs with apicolateral margins slightly flanged. Male eyes with about 75 facets; visible sternite 5 (VII) bearing pair of widely separated thick setae; 3-4 (V-VI) with apices simple, lacking apical angulations. Female eyes with about 70 facets.
