Holotype AM P71208 ♂ 4.1 mm (large coral bommies surrounded by sand and rubble, from sponge Spirastrella vagabunda Ridley, 1884), Horseshoe Reef, Lizard Island, QLD, 8–12 m [14°41.21'S 145°26.49'E].
Paratype(s) AM P71215 ♀; AM P71235 4 ♂, 4 ♀.

Extra Ecological Information
Littoral (0 to 30 m), 8 to 25 m depth, rock and rubble habitats. Associations: the sponges Spirastrella vagabunda (Ridley, 1884); Polymastia craticia (Hallmann, 1912); and Teichonopsis labyrinthica (Carter, 1886).
