Species Thorecta latus (Carter, 1885)

  • Stelospongus latus Carter, H.J. 1885. Description of sponges from the neighbourhood of Port Phillip Heads, South Australia. Annals and Magazine of Natural History 5 15: 301-321 [306] [=Stelospongus flabelliformis var. lata; in part: holotype only; one wet specimen is mentioned in the descripition, but two are listed in Carter's ms Catalogue of J.B. Wilson specimens, both as dry].
