Ecological Descriptors

Adult: predator, terrestrial.

Diagnosis

Length 1.2-1.5 mm. Head with vertex granulate; pronotal disc smoother, granulate around margins. Head with antennal tubercles distinct; interantennal bridge distinct, slightly depressed to middle; antennomeres IX and X slightly widened, X slightly larger than IX, clubs formed primarily by XI. Pronotum with median and lateral longitudinal sulci distinct; broad antebasal sulcus shallow and weakly defined between lateral antebasal foveae. Elytra with 4 basal foveae, outer two sharing common opening; discal stria short, not reaching elytral midpoint. Male with eyes formed by about 35 facets; intermediate antennomeres small and globular; vertex unmodified. Visible tergites 1-4 (IV-VII) with setae appressed on discs, thicker and shorter than setae on anterior portion of tergites. Trochanters unmodified. Visible sternites 3-4 (V-VI) with small patches of setal brushes near posterior margins. Female eyes formed by about 8 facets.
