Type data:
Holotype WAM (probably lost, there is no holotype in the WAM: Jones (1986) states 'Linder (1941: 249) states that the male holotype was also deposited in the WAM'; however, there is no record of this in the registers and the holotype has not been located in the collections), Lake Gidgi (alias Gidgee) near Kalgoorlie.
Paratype(s) WAM C8029; ZMU 659.

Ecological Descriptors

Presumably a filter feeder; while it occurs in salt lakes, it sems to be present only during hyposaline to almost fresh stages of infilling (Timms 2004; Chapman & Timms 2004).
