APC Comment Allium porrum L. (Leek) is considered to be the cultivated form of wild A. ampeloprasum L. Some continue to treat them as two distinct species, others as a single taxon. If they are combined, the name A. ampeloprasum is conserved over A. porrum.	APC Comment
