APC Comment Recognition of one polymorphic species or several with numerous forms is still unsettled. For example, In the Floodplain Flora in NT (2000) only one all-encompassing species was recognised. Variation was discussed by Wilmot-Dear Kew Bull., 40(2): 243-271 (1985), Les, Syst. Bot., 10(3): 338-346 (1985), Les, Syst. Bot. 11: 549-558 (1986), Les, Syst. Bot. 13(1): 73-86 (1988), and Les, Syst. Bot. 13(4): 509-518 (1988). The listing here gives the disposition if several taxa are recognised. If only one is recognised, then the name C. demersum should be used.	APC Comment
