A.D.Chapman, Austral. Pl. Name Index 1835 (1991) lists "Linaria elatine var. lasiopoda Ewart", with the comment "If described elsewhere, this is a first Australian record." However it appears Ewart (Fl. Vic. 1012 (1931)) was referring to Visiani's publication of the name.
