The Australian Plant Name Index (APNI) is a tool for the botanical community that deals with plant names and their usage in the scientific literature, whether as a current name or synonym. APNI does not recommend any particular taxonomy or nomenclature. Etymology:"In 1933, Mrs. Edith Coleman, the well-known Victorian naturalist, sent me some specimens... It is therefore with great pleasure that I venture to attach to this attractive Diuris the name of one whose contributions to Australian orchidology are so well known and so highly appreciated."
