Etymology:I have connected with this new plant the name of the Honourable Dr. James C. Cox, M.L.C., F.L.S., of Sydney, who, in the exercise of active medical practice, found still time for extensive researches into Australian conchology, and indeed for promoting also other scientific objects in the neighbouring elder colony."
