  • Etymology: "From the latinised Greek 'crypticus' (i.e. hidden), the epithet refers to the recent near obscurity of this species. Despite herbarium specimens being collected since 1967 and the populations being situated in the largest city in Australia, it has remained unclear to science whether it is a species or a collection of populations of hybrid origin."
