  • APC Comment: Originally named by Scheele for the Italian botanist Paolo Boccone (1633–1704), the widely-used past spelling of the substantive epithet, "bocconi" or "bocconii" is to be corrected to "bocconei" in accordance with ICBN Art. 60.1, 60.11 and Ex. 11, Regnum Veg. vol.131 (2000).
