APC Comment: De Laubenfels & Adema (1998) recognised C. normanbyana as a species distinct from C. media, and included in its synonymy C. rumphii subap. normanbyana, C. basaltica and C. media var. basaltica. Hybrids are known in Qld between C. media subsp. banksii and C. platyphylla (Henderson, 2002). -
