Torino is the Appendix to the Hortus Ripulensis and is titled "Illustrationes et Icones Rariorum Stirpium quae in ejus hortus Ripulis Florebant, Anno 1825, Addito ad Hortum Ripulensium Appindice II Lectae du VIII. Januarii 1826" – Publication seen in Palatino section of Bibliotek Nazional, Florence (Catalogue no. Palat. 37.1. 2.7.II). Given as a nomen by P.G.Wilson, Trans. Roy. Soc. South Australia 85 (1961) 23, with a description by Meissner in Linnaea 4 (1829) Litt. Ber. 56. Orthographic variants include ANTOMACHIA E.G.Steudel, Nom. Bot. ed. 2, 1 (1940) 110; ANTOMARCHIA A.Colla, Mem. Accad. Sci. Turin ser. 2, 5 (1843) 492. Index Nominum Genericorum 1 (1979) 104 does not give the above spelling, but references the orthographic variant [Antomarchia] to the above, in error.
