The Australian Plant Name Index (APNI) is a tool for the botanical community that deals with plant names and their usage in the scientific literature, whether as a current name or synonym. APNI does not recommend any particular taxonomy or nomenclature. For a listing of currently accepted scientific names for the Australian vascular flora, please use the Australian Plant Census (APC) link above.

Comment: In the preface to volume 1 of Hortus Kewensis (1789), Aiton acknowledges "communications" of unpublished work sent to him by L'Héritier (p. vi) and cites several of these (p. xxi) in a list of "Books Quoted". This, combined with Aiton's citation of "L'Herit. n. 26" following the description, is here considered to constitute ascription of this new combination to L'Héritier by Aiton under ICN Art. 46.2 (Shenzhen Code, 2018).
